A Wall of Flowers

Does anyone know what type of plant this is?  It was growing on a wall at the hotel where we stayed at in Palm Desert, CA. 

I thought it looked amazing how the wall seemed to have all this beauty in it.  If you know what type of plant it is please share it with us so we can all try to plant some in our backyards.
