Have you ever wanted to go from one climate temperature to another in just a few minutes? Palm Springs has the Aerial Tramway which is the largest rotating tramway in the world. It takes you from Palm Springs Temperatures (65 or so the day we went up) to the top of Mount San Jacinto. (30 degrees or so)
The tramway takes you up and above the desert with some amazing scenery. You can see the Salton Sea which is to the south of Palm Springs. As you ride along in the rotating tram car you hit the towers which hold the lines together and the ride then gets a little bumpy. The tram cars are usually carrying water to the top of the mountain as there aren't any water lines that go to the Mountain Station. I imagine with the water it should be more bumpier.
If you have ridden on the Palm Springs’ Aerial Tramway or something similar and would like to share your experience please do so.
Thanks for reading!
